Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced its facilitation of the Uganda National Team for a comprehensive 14-day training camp to be conducted in Sri Lanka.

The SLC statement outlined the provision of an international ground at GICS, Galle, along with a series of seven T20 games against a team from the High-Performance Center Development Squads.

Additionally, match-related logistics including umpires, scorers, match meals, medical support, and internal transportation for the Uganda national team will be provided by SLC.

This gesture, extended to an Associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), serves as a goodwill effort by SLC.

The initiative follows a request made by the Ugandan Cricket Association to the Speaker of the Sri Lanka Parliament, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, during the 27th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth held in Uganda.

The Uganda national team has already arrived in Sri Lanka to commence their training camp.
