**Title: Sri Lankan Rupee Appreciates Slightly Against US Dollar in Commercial Banks**

Today, February 12, the Sri Lankan Rupee has shown a slight appreciation against the US Dollar in commercial banks across Sri Lanka compared to last Friday’s rates.

According to reports from Peoples Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar have seen a decrease, dropping from Rs. 307.69 to Rs. 307.44 for buying and from Rs. 318.41 to Rs. 318.16 for selling.

Similarly, at Commercial Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has decreased from Rs. 307.24 to Rs. 306.50, while the selling rate has also dropped from Rs. 317.25 to Rs. 316.50.

Conversely, at Sampath Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar remain unchanged at Rs. 308 and Rs. 317, respectively.

The slight appreciation of the Sri Lankan Rupee against the US Dollar in commercial banks signifies a positive trend in the foreign exchange market, potentially impacting various sectors of the economy. Further developments in currency exchange rates will continue to be monitored closely.
