Effective from today, February 12, consumers can expect an increase in the prices of eggs, as confirmed by the All Ceylon Egg Traders’ Association.
Secretary of the Association, Buddhika Weerasena, attributed this decision to the rising costs associated with various factors in the industry, including egg distribution.
Consequently, the wholesale price of eggs will be raised to Rs. 58, while the retail price is expected to climb to Rs. 63 per egg.
