Presidential election will take place as scheduled – Wijeyadasa.

Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe affirmed that the Presidential Election will proceed according to constitutional provisions and scheduled timelines.

Rajapakshe emphasized that citizens need not harbor any unwarranted concerns regarding this matter.

On a separate note, MP Gunapala Rathnasekara stated that the Freedom People’s Congress has not yet made a determination regarding endorsing a candidate for the forthcoming presidential election.
