In a gesture of goodwill and cultural exchange, His Excellency Khalid bin Hamoud Alkahtani, the Saudi Ambassador to Sri Lanka, personally distributed a gift of dates from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to several mosques in Colombo.
The Ambassador’s personal involvement in distributing the dates underscores the importance placed on this goodwill gesture.
Jawatta Mosque, Kollupitiya Mosque, Wellawatta mosque, Grand Mosque, Red Mosque and Zahira Mosque received the gift of dates from Saudi Ambassador.
This act of generosity is well-received by the Sri Lankan Muslim community, for whom dates hold significance during Ramadan.
