22nd DSI Supersport Schools Volleyball starts on June 15

The 22nd edition of the DSI Supersport Schools Volleyball Championship conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Volleyball Association with the support of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation and sponsored by D Samson & Sons (Pvt) Ltd will commence on the 15th of June.

The finals will be held on 2nd and 3rd November at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo.

The tournament will be held in five age groups for girls and boys, in the under 11, under 13, under 15, under 17 and under 19 age groups.

The preliminary round of matches will be held at district level on 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30 June and 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21 July.

The teams that win first and second places at district level competitions will qualify for the national level matches which will be played from August 7 to 11 and the finals on November 2 and 3.

Applications for the tournament will be available at all DSI showrooms across the island, district coordinators of the Schools Volleyball Association or may be downloaded from the AVI webpage.

Applications will close on 31 May 2024. The organisers expect the participation of over 4000 teams this year.

The Schools Volleyball Championship was first played in 1999 and has been powered by D Samson & Sons (Pvt) Ltd. Thusitha Rajapaksa Managing Director of D Samsson & Sons Pvt Ltd presented the sponsorship cheque to the Schools Volleyball Association at press briefing held in Colombo on Tuesday.
