President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will inaugurate the highly anticipated Sri Lanka Economic Summit organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, which begins today (January 28) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, to a sold-out audience.
The President will participate in a Fireside Chat during the opening session, discussing the Government’s vision for sustainable economic progress with Deputy Vice Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber, Bingumal Thewarathanthri.
Day two of the summit, scheduled for January 29, will commence with a Fireside Chat featuring Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Chief Advisor to the President on the Digital Economy, further highlighting the government’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation.
This year’s summit, held under the theme “Shaping Sri Lanka’s Future: Transformational Growth with Sound Economic Policies”, has attracted record participation, drawing business leaders, policymakers, academics, and senior corporate representatives. The event will focus on key strategies for driving the nation’s economic trajectory.
Key figures from the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, including Chairman Duminda Hulangamuwa and Vice Chairman Krishan Balendra, will be present, with Hulangamuwa delivering the Opening Remarks at the inauguration.
