Saudi Ambassador requests Hajj pilgrims to be the best ambassadors of their native country

His Excellency Ambassador Khalid bin Hamoud Alkahtani hosted a farewell ceremony yesterday (26) for the pilgrims of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj this year 2025 from the Republic of Sri Lanka.

During the event, His Excellency Ambassador delivered a speech where he  expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for the great care and attention they give to the Guests of Almighty Allah from all over the world, including the pilgrims from the friendly Republic of Sri Lanka, who were selected this year as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Hajj Guests Program.

His Excellency pointed out that the selection of Hajj pilgrims to participate in this generous program was carefully and accurately done to include a blessed elite from various sectors of Sri Lankan society, including scholars, imams, academics, media professionals, community figures, and men and women who have provided significant services to their communities. This honor is a tribute to their contributions and an encouragement for what lies ahead.

And he noted that participation in this blessed program represents not only a great spiritual opportunity to perform the Hajj rituals, but also a trust and a responsibility and requested the Hajj pilgrims to be the best ambassadors of their native country, as well as faithfully conveying the high-level organization, comprehensive services, and comprehensive care provided by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Guests of almighty Allah. Also, requested them to use this opportunity to represent their country in the best possible way, to reflect, through their behavior and morals, the honorable image of Sri Lankan Muslims, and to be a voice of truth conveying the reality of the Kingdom’s great and sincere efforts and services for hajj pilgrims.

Finally, His Excellency  Ambassador prayed almighty Allah to grant them success, accept their Hajj,  and to return to their homeland safe.
