5 new ambassadors: Rizvi Hassan as High commissioner to Maldives

The approval of the Committee on High Officials has been granted for the appointment of five new ambassadors, a High Commissioner and a Ministry Secretary.

This approval was received at the Committee on High Officials that met in Parliament on the 24th.

Accordingly, the Committee on High Officials has approved the name of Ms. Sumadurika Shashikala Premawardena as the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Indonesia.

Former Ambassador  to Ukrain and Turkiye Mohamed Rizvi Hassan appointed as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Maldives.  The names of C. A. Chaminda Inoka Colonne as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Federal Republic of Brazil,  L. R. M. N. P. G. B. Kadurugamuwa as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Turkey, Ruwanthi Delpitiya as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Nepal, and Marimuthu K. Padmanathan as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to South Korea have also been approved by the Committee on High Officials.
