The International Business Networking Meeting, organized by the Lanka Business Alliance (LBA), was held on Tuesday (07) at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo, bringing together business leaders, investors, and policymakers from across the region.
The Governor of the Western Province, Hanif Yusuf, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and officially inaugurated the event. Delegates from India, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, along with senior representatives from government regulatory institutions and the Sri Lankan business community, were in attendance.
In his keynote address, Governor Yusuf emphasized the importance of strengthening regional business ties and underscored Sri Lanka’s growing potential for investment and connectivity.
“The government has undertaken several initiatives to create an investor-friendly environment and to facilitate ease of doing business in Sri Lanka,” he said, highlighting the country’s efforts to position itself as a regional hub for trade and investment.
The meeting served as a platform for fostering cross-border collaboration, trade partnerships, and investment opportunities, reaffirming Sri Lanka’s commitment to building stronger economic linkages within the South Asian region.
