The National Trauma Conference 2025 commenced today at the Galle Face Hotel under the patronage of Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
Organised for the third time by the Trauma Secretariat of the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Accident and Emergency Department of the National Hospital of Colombo, and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), the three-day conference will continue until October 19.
Dr. Asela Gunawardena, Director General of Health Services and Chairman of the National Trauma Secretariat; Dr. Indika Jagoda, Head of the National Trauma Secretariat Committee and Director of the Accident and Emergency Department of the National Hospital of Colombo; and Consultant Surgeon Dr. Keerthi Abhayajeewa, Chairman of the National Trauma Conference Committee, are among the key participants.
The event brings together representatives from 23 countries, along with specialist doctors, medical professionals, and experts in Sri Lanka’s health sector.
