All visa, passport and consular-related services for Sri Lankan applicants will be handled directly by the High Commission of India in Colombo, the Assistant High Commission in Kandy and the Consulate General in Jaffna, with effect from November 03, 2025.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Indian High Commission announced that the current external service provider managing visa operations will continue only until October 31, 2025.
Accordingly, from next Monday onward, applicants must visit the respective Indian diplomatic missions for all related services, including visa applications, passport matters and consular assistance.
Further details and updated application procedures are expected to be communicated by the High Commission in due course.
