An Executive Committee (Exco) meeting of the Sri Lanka Committee for Solidarity with Palestine (SLCSP) was held yesterday (09) at the Embassy of the State of Palestine.
During the meeting, veteran journalist Hana Ibrahim was appointed as the new General Secretary of the Committee, succeeding Fawzer Farook, who is set to assume duties as Ambassador-designate to the State of Palestine. Mohamed Irshad was also appointed as the Assistant Secretary.
The Committee expressed its appreciation to Farook for his dedicated service and longstanding advocacy, while extending congratulations and best wishes for his new diplomatic role.
