The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) staged a protest near Diyatha Uyana along the Parliament access road in Battaramulla, voicing opposition to recent government actions.
The demonstration led to significant traffic congestion in the area, prompting police to փակ the road from Polduwa Junction to manage the situation.
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara were present at the protest, along with several party MPs including Harsha de Silva, Mujibur Rahuman, Thalatha Atukorale, and Chamindrani Kiriella, as well as a large number of party supporters.
