Iran announced that the missile attack on the Iraqi city of Erbil was carried out with Iranian-made Fatih-110 ballistic missiles.
Speaking to Tasnim news agency and whose name has not been released, the official gave information about the attack that took place during the night.
The official said that the missile attack was carried out from the northwest of the country with Iran’s domestically produced short-range Fatih-110 ballistic missiles.
Defending that the said attack was carried out on the Israeli base in Iraqi territory due to Israel’s attacks on Iranian forces from Iraq, the official noted that a total of 10 missiles were used in the attack.
The Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (IKRG) Anti-Terror Unit announced that Erbil was attacked with 12 ballistic missiles from outside Iraq.
The Anti-Terrorism Unit made a statement on its official Facebook account regarding the attack, “The capital Erbil was attacked with ballistic missiles from outside the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.” had used the words.
In the statement that the attack was “directed from the east”, it was stated that the incident took place at 01.00 at night and 12 ballistic missiles targeted a neighborhood in the direction of the US consulate in Erbil.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Army claimed responsibility for the missile attacks on the Iraqi city of Erbil.
The KRG, on the other hand, declared that Iran repeated its attacks and that the silence of the international community would pave the way for these attacks.
