Representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next week to discuss steps to be taken to rebuild Sri Lanka’s economy.
It is reported that the representatives of the International Monetary Fund are coming to Sri Lanka at the request of the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Vajira Abeywardena, Chairman of the Committee on Essential Goods and Services appointed by the Prime Minister and Chairman of the United National Party, said that the International Monetary Fund has already announced the initial agreement on assistance to Sri Lanka.
He added that Sri Lanka would receive assistance once its representatives arrived and reached a final agreement.
