The second leg of the Janani Project, which attempts to increase the digital literary of grassroots female political activists, commenced on Thursday (09) at Matara.
The workshop, which was held at Sarasi Banquet Hall, Hakmana, saw the participation of a large number of grassroots female political activists as well as civil society activists.
The guest speakers for the event was IRES Executive Director, Manjula Gajanayake and Hi TV editor senior journalist, Harindra Nissanka.
A press conference was held following the workshop, which allowed participants to face questions posed by journalists.
CaFFE Executive Director, Manas Makeen presided over the workshop, which was organized by CaFFE Southern Coordinator Premabandu Jayathilake anf Matara Coordinator of the Janani Project, Sujeewa Damayanthi.
