Early morning today, the Special Task Force of the Police and the army came near the Presidential Secretariat in Galle face and asked the protesters to leave.
Clashes broke out between security forces and protesters while controlling the crowd.After the clash, the security forces have captured areas including the entrance in front of the Presidential Secretariat.
The police said that 09 people have been arrested in connection with the incident and two injured have been taken to the hospital.
