Death toll due to rough weather in Sri Lanka increases to five!

The death toll of prevailing adverse weather in Sri Lanka has increased to 05 with more than 50 families still in relief centres, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

The DMC said on Saturday (August 06), that due to floods, heavy rainfall and landslides, 10 district in five provinces have been affected.

According to the department, one property has been completely destroyed while 1,691 properties have been partially damaged.

As on Saturday (August 06), 232 people from 58 families are in 5 relief centres around the country. The DMC said a total of 14,885 people from 3,850 families have been affected.
