The Air Force Eagles’ Golf Links and Courses, along with the generous support of HUAWEI Technologies Lanka Co. (Pvt) Ltd as the Exclusive Main Sponsor, will host the inaugural Eagles’ Monsoon Cup Golf Tournament 2022, the newest golf tournament set to be another annual highlight of the golfing calendar.
The tournament will be held from the 30th of September to the 2nd of October, at the picturesque settings of China Bay, close to the Harbour City of Trincomalee.
This new tournament has been organized in order to fill the gap of golfing events that are held during the monsoon season.
Moreover, the main goal was the uplift the sport of golf, which saw a decline in the past few years due to the pandemic and other national challenges. For being the first of its kind, this tournament has already earned over 80 golfers from all parts of the country. In addition to the Eagles’ Monsoon Cup, the golfers will also vie for the Eagles’ Monsoon Defence Challenge Trophy which is awarded to the best serving player from the Tri Forces.
The tournament will conclude with the awards ceremony scheduled to be held on the eve of 01 October 2022.
The opening chapter of the Monsoon Cup is exclusively sponsored by HUAWEI Technologies Lanka Co. (Pvt) Ltd who also have come on board to improve the sport of golf in the country and to give more golfing opportunities for professionals and amateurs alike.
