All island Inter-school Islamic Day competitions are organized by the school’s Islamic Majlis Board of 2019/20 on the 21st of September 2022 at their school premises. Etihad’ 20 had the participation of over 600 students from over 60 schools across the country and 120 students from 27 different schools had been felicitated with medals, certificates, and trophies at the awards ceremony.
M.T.M.Nafeel, who is a founding member and the current President of the Centre for Islamic Studies (CIS) graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The event also had the participation of the Chairman of the Board of Management of the school M.A.M. Hakeem along with other members of the Board of Management, Chief operating officer Vikum Priyalal, Vice Principals Mrs. Muna Suby and Mrs. Minsharf Imthiaz, Sectional Heads, members of the school staff and the old boys’ association were also present.
The awards ceremony had a variety of events exhibited such as Qirath, Islamic songs, and speeches. Muslim Ladies College- Colombo was crowned as the Overall champion of the event and received the champion shield from the chief guest.
