Wasantha Mudalige, the convener of the Inter-University Student Union, who was named as a suspect in the alleged incident of trespassing into the Presidential Palace and causing mischief, was remanded in custody.
Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered today (05) to remand him until the 13th.
The court also ordered that the consideration regarding the granting of bail to this suspect will be done on that day.
These facts were presented when Wasantha Mudalige, the convener of the Inter-University Student Power Council, who was arrested and remanded under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, was presented to the court today (05).
