A 3.0 magnitude tremor on the Richter scale has been reported from the Wellawaya, Buttala, and Handapanagala areas today.
The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) stated that no damages had been caused due to the tremor.
a resident of Buttala stated that he felt the tremors similar to an earthquake at around 12:30 p.m. today.
