The Supreme Court has issued an order preventing the Treasury Secretary from withholding funds allocated for elections, by way of the Budget 2023.
The Supreme Court will also hear petitions filed by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara urging the release of funds to facilitate local government elections.
