According to CBSL Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) would safeguard the stability of the banking sector and the security of public deposits throughout any type of domestic debt optimization.
The comments were delivered by Dr. Weerasinghe yesterday (May 10), at a public forum on the CBSL’s 2022 annual report.
He added that different viewpoints are now being expressed on the soundness of the banking sector and the safeguarding of public savings.
