On Monday, May 29, Padma Bhushan ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth, a well-known actor from South India, met with Dr. D. Venkateshwaran, the deputy high commissioner of Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan ambassador encouraged Mr. Rajinikanth to visit Sri Lanka at the conference since his presence may promote film-related tourism as well as wellness and spiritual tourism.
Additionally, Dr. Venkateshwaran personally invited him to see Sri Lanka’s exclusive “Ramayana Trail” as well as other distinctive Buddhist places.
