Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, the governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province, has resigned from his position as of June 10, 2023.
According to reports, Kobbekaduwa has already given President Ranil Wickremesinghe his letter of resignation.
Prior to the former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Kobbekaduwa was sworn in as the governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province in November 2019.
