The Court of Appeal was informed yesterday (27) that the Health Ministry has decided to extend the service period of specialized doctors in the public sector up to the age of 63.
The Court of Appeal was informed of the Ministry’s judgment by the Attorney General, who was represented by Additional Solicitor General Nerin Pulle.
When the writ petitions filed against the Cabinet’s decision to lower the retirement age for specialists to 60 years were taken up for hearing, the decision was informed.
