According to Susil Premajayantha, minister of education, steps will be taken to give students the chance to enrol in a vocational training programme at their respective schools for a period of about three months following the conclusion of the G.C.E. Ordinary Level exam until the results are received.
The minister emphasised that even if students choose not to continue their studies for the G.C.E. Advanced Level exams, they can still gain crucial skills and information for their future professional lives through this curriculum.
Premajayantha made reference to this while taking part in the Ceylon-German Technical Training Institute’s graduation and certificate awarding event, which was held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.
