The introduction of an artificial intelligence campaign to promote Theravada Buddhism globally was announced by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The President underlined his commitment to safeguarding and developing Theravada Buddhism on a global scale, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).
According to the President, the Artificial Intelligence programme would be put into place to assist these efforts, working alongside knowledgeable people and guided by the Maha Sangha of the three chapters.
At the 73rd National Upasampada Vinaya Karma Inaugural Ceremony of the Maha Viharavanshika Sri Lanka Ramanya Maha Nikaya, when 300 novice monks received the higher ordination of Upasampada Sheela, President Wickremesinghe made this declaration in Matale.
