Within the next several months, the emergency procurement of pharmaceuticals will come to an end, according to Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella.
The politician defended the emergency drug purchases during a press conference in Colombo, saying that it was done to fulfil the nation’s need for medical supplies.
Regarding the claims of failings at the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA), Rambukwella stated that problems with the board of directors of the drug regulator had been rectified.
