Minister assures uninterrupted power supply island-wide, says no plans for power cuts
Kanchana Wijesekera, minister of power and energy, has guaranteed that an uninterrupted power supply will be offered island-wide.
Wijesekera announced on Twitter that the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) will guarantee a continuous supply of electricity island-wide and that the CEB has no preparations for scheduled power outages.
The Minister stated that “CEB will procure the necessary supplementary power needed to maintain 24 hour uninterrupted supply of power.”
