The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that an 18-hour water cut will be implemented in a number of locations, including Colombo and its suburbs, from 8:00 a.m. today (19 August) to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday (20 August).
The Colombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, Kaduwela, and Kotte Municipal Council regions, as well as the Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa, Kotikawatte, Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha areas, Ratmalana, and Katubedda areas, will be impacted by the water cut.
The NWSDB indicated that the water cut is necessary for maintenance, which must be done.
