During a recent meeting in Parliament, the MP Rohini Kumari Wijerathna-led Parliamentary Caucus for Children focused on internet abuse against children in Sri Lanka as well as reproductive health and sexuality education for schoolchildren.
According to the officials present, the primary goal of educating Sri Lankan schoolchildren about sexuality and reproductive health is to do so online via new media.
According to a release from the Communications Department of Parliament, the Caucus Chair, Rohini Kumari Wijerathna, who praised officials for their efforts, noted that the Caucus hopes to formally begin this project by October.
