After a three-day debate, the no-confidence resolution against Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, proposed by the opposition, will be put to a vote this evening (Sept. 8).
Rambukwella will lose his job if the parliament decides he has failed to perform his fundamental duties and taken steps to undermine the public’s access to secure health care and that he lacks the necessary skills to serve in that capacity.
The third day of the no-confidence motion discussion, which started on Wednesday (Sept. 06), resumed this morning at the start of the parliamentary session at 9.30 a.m.
