Adam Gilchrist, a former wicketkeeper for Australia, has selected his four World Cup 2023 semifinalist candidates. A World Cup champion himself, Gilchrist stated that he believes India, Pakistan, England, and Australia might be the favourites to win the competition.
In an interview with the press during a promotional event in Ahmedabad, Gilchrist said, “I think India and Pakistan could feature, and Australia and England are two other teams.”
“Australia will learn a lot from their efforts in South Africa when they come to India. They have three games left against India before the World Cup so they will have a bit more of a full strength squad there so that might tell us a bit about where they are at.
