The Railway Department reported that a derailment near Kollupitiya this morning (27), which caused a delay in train operations on the Coastal Line.
Accordingly, it stated that services on the coastal line had been disrupted after a train headed for Moratuwa from Mahawa derailed close to the Kollupitiya train station.
The department also stated that actions are being taken to remedy the matter as soon as feasible.
