With effect from Monday (October 23), the names of two people who had been accused of supporting terrorism have reportedly been taken off the blacklist by the Ministry of Defence.
As a result, Niklapillai Antony Emil Lakshmi Kanthan, also known as “Ramesh,” and Murugesu Sri Shanmugaraja’s designations were removed.
Interpol had reportedly also published a Red Notice on “Ramesh.”
The two had been placed on a formal “blacklist” since 2014 for their support of terrorism.
