In a video that appears to show Sri Lankan skipper Kusal Mendis plotting to run out England’s Adil Rashid at the non-striker’s end of the Cricket World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has published footage.
In the 25th match of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which took place in Bengaluru on Thursday, October 26, Sri Lanka defeated England by eight wickets.
Mendis can be seen organising and carrying out the runout in Sri Lanka’s 31st over in the recently released video footage that the ICC released.
Social media users have been praising Kusal Mendis for his foresight as the runout has gained popularity.
