Tokyo Cement, a cement manufacturer in Sri Lanka, has helped build a new entry to the Horton Plains National Park from Diagama, according to Minister of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation Pavithra Wanniarachchi.

Recently, Tokyo Cement Group announced the opening of the new Horton Plains entrance gate from Diagama. The gate is equipped with a ticket office and all necessary infrastructure.

At the project’s inauguration ceremony last week, Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi stated that Tokyo Cement Group completed the construction on their own initiative because the Wildlife and Forest Conservation Department was unwilling to commit to the project at that time.
