The Minister of Ports, Shipping & Aviation said that the government has invited offers to divest the indebted national airline SriLankan Airlines.

Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva claims that as a result, invitations to tenders (ITTs) have been posted on websites and in local and international media.

A two-stage competitive bidding process, known as the RFQ (Request for Qualification) and RFP (Request for Proposals for the Proposed Transaction), is intended to be used to complete the divestment.
