Lanka Sathosa has made the decision to lower the cost of a number of necessities, including powdered milk.
Accordingly, a 400-gram packet of milk powder now costs Rs. 948 instead of Rs. 22 after the price reduction.
As of yesterday, the new pricing revision is in force (01).
In the meantime, there has been a reduction of Rs. 77 in the price of one kilogramme of green grammes and Rs. 09 in the price of one kilogramme of chick peas.
Green grammes now cost Rs. 998 a kilogramme, while chickpeas are still only Rs. 540.
