This afternoon (November 14), a powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake shook the waters southeast of Sri Lanka.
The National Centre for Seismology of India stated in a post on X that the earthquake was detected at a depth of 10 km and 1,326 km southeast of Colombo at approximately 12:31 IST.
