According to President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Aswesuma benefits have tripled as part of the new social structure the administration is creating.
At the Colombo University Budget 2024 discussion, the Head of State disclosed this, according to a report from the President’s Media Division (PMD).
As a result, the President had underlined that “adaptation is essential,” acknowledging that the scope of the crisis outstripped the government’s ability to handle it in a single budget.
It is an issue that we cannot overlook. Adjustment is necessary. In this regard, he stated, “It’s critical to realise that change is imperative, we must embrace change, and this is the direction we’re headed.”
