INS Kora departs island after brief visit

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Kora, which paid a port call in Colombo on Thursday (Nov.16) has departed the island today (Nov.17) following successful completion of her stay.

Following long-standing naval customs, the Sri Lanka Navy bid the departing ship a fitting farewell at the port of Colombo.

The Sri Lanka Navy reports that the warship, which is 91.1 metres long and a Missile Corvette of the Indian Navy, is staffed by 125 people.

On November 16, at the Western Naval Command Headquarters, Commander R.M. Nambiar, the Commanding Officer of INS Kora, paid a visit to Rear Admiral Saman Perera, the Commander of the Western Naval Area and the Commandant of the Volunteer Naval Force.
