Sri Lanka is grappling with a surge in dengue cases, as the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) reports three deaths and over 7,000 cases in the first 20 days of the year. Jaffna leads with 1,602 cases, followed by Colombo (1,536) and Gampaha (637). Health Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana expresses concern over inadequate public support in curbing the outbreak.
