Member of Parliament Ali Sabri Raheem was involved in a car accident on the Puttalam-Anuradhapura Road around 1.00 am today near the 15th Mile Post.
One person, identified as H.M. Harshana Pradeep, was injured and admitted to Puttalam Base Hospital.
The accident occurred when the MP’s car collided with the back of a hand tractor. Both drivers sustained injuries.
The driver of the MP’s car has been arrested by Saliyawewa Police, who are conducting further investigations.
