Reflecting on the pivotal parliamentary elections of 2024, the President emphasized that the establishment of a government with a strong majority has fostered a transformative political shift. This new mandate is dedicated to fulfilling democratic responsibilities and building the good governance the people aspire to.
Key initiatives outlined include eradicating rural poverty, advancing the “Clean Sri Lanka” program, and fostering a robust digital economy. The “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, launched alongside the New Year celebrations, promises a holistic revival encompassing social, environmental, and ethical dimensions.
Acknowledging the nation’s progress in achieving economic stability, the President called for unity and determination to make 2025 a year of renewed vision and national prosperity.
