The 8th Annual Diplomatic Cup Cricket and Football Tournament, organised by the Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations of Colombo in collaboration with the Organising Committee, will take place this weekend at the D.S. Senanayake Grounds, Colombo.
The tournament, powered by Mitsubishi Motors with Classic Travel as co-sponsor, will kick off with its inaugural ceremony on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 8.00 a.m. Heads of Mission and representatives of Colombo’s diplomatic and international community are expected to attend.
The event brings together members of the diplomatic corps and international organisations for a day of sportsmanship, fellowship, and cultural exchange, featuring competitive matches in both cricket and football.
Organisers said the Diplomatic Cup has grown into a signature annual sporting and networking event, strengthening bonds of friendship and cooperation among Colombo’s international community.
