Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito has reportedly embraced Islam while filming in Saudi Arabia, according to Turki Alalshikh.
In a post shared on X, Alalshikh stated that Esposito recited the Shahada—the Islamic declaration of faith—and later joined members of the production team in prayer at a mosque during the filming of the upcoming movie 7 Dogs.
Esposito, widely recognized for portraying Gustavo Fring in the acclaimed TV series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is regarded as one of Hollywood’s most respected actors.
According to Alalshikh, the actor expressed gratitude for the sense of community and hospitality he experienced during his time in Saudi Arabia.
A video circulating on social media appears to show Esposito praying alongside members of the film crew inside a mosque.
The film 7 Dogs features a prominent Arab cast, including Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz, alongside international stars such as Esposito and Max Huang.
